Putting a sticker on something and claiming it "voids the warranty" if you remove it is actually illegal in the US. You can remove any "tamper seal" sticker you want if you live in the US. They don't matter. If a company refuses service because you removed it then it would make THEM liable for a potential lawsuit, not you.

I've said it once and I'll say it again. The folks on ebay, and some even with their own sites, have listings of FULL actual refurbs and they do it at such a low cost in comparison that I'll happily buy from someone with an ebay store and good ratings over a full fledged b+m business

What I find really funny is when they add in the free gifts. The other day I saw one where they gave away a free gameboy color. Looks great, until you realise the customer spent about 1.6k on stuff from there but it made me laugh that people in the comments were like "thats an amazing gift" or " you guys are so generous". I also saw one where the guy ordered 1 or 2 games and got a pez dispenser.

Not to mention, the prices you see are for a cosmeticly flawed version of the item. If you want one in nicer condition, it can cost up to 50% more. And if you go with the cosmetically flawed version, it will sometimes come in pieces.
