So earlier this year, a friend of mine committed suicide. At his wake and funeral, there were a pair of googly eyes on his urn. I was confused for a while, until at the funeral his sister talked about him. At first, he wanted to not be cremated, but wanted an open casket wake and funeral. But, he wanted his eyes open. When it was brought up that the idea most likely wouldn't work, he brought up the having googly eyes on his actual eyes. Since the family cremated him, they decided to change up his idea a little. I don't think I heard that much laughing at a funeral in a long time.

I am autistic and therefore have some difficulties with recognizing what facial expressions mean. I want you to know that I love your emotive work -- the way you use your eyes and mouth and eyebrows and so forth. It demonstrates that you really "get" all that stuff. I get a real kick out of it.

So, this student who was researching the lost location of Bach's grave found some information that led him to an old forgotten German church where he discovered a book with records of burial location. He came across a reference to Bach and an indication of where he was buried in the graveyard. He hired a work crew and they started digging at the site. After a short time the shovels struck something solid. To the student's surprise there was a light coming from the casket. They opened the lid and there sat Bach, calmly using an eraser to remove musical notes from his sheet music. He ventured a question of Bach, “what are doing?” and Bach replied “What else would I be doing, I'm decomposing!”

My aunt works with the Tennessee body farm and has since it was just Dr. Bass, letting things decompose in his backyard and in random buildings at the university. Apparently his family is very happy that he has his own facility now.

When my dear kitty friend of 18 years died I told the vet, who was sweet and sensitive and amazing, that I didn't need the eyes shut. I enjoyed looking at my kitty's pretty green eyes during the car ride home, they are a big part of my memory of her. we buried her before they began to cloud, but we purposely put her in the garden where she will help plants grow.

My dead friend's mom chose to have an open casket wake despite the fact that he died in a drowning accident and his body was underwater for 3 days....yea....let that sink They had to use a wax mask to make him look "normal" but it was terrifying to look at. I however, chose to remember the kind hearted and handsome man he was.

My dad died suddenly a year and a half ago at age 50. He was in his room for at least 3 days before my brother found him and it was so hot that his body started decomposing faster . When I got to his house he was still in the room and the house was filled with his dead body’s smell. My brother didn’t let me go see him because he said that my dad didn’t look like himself at that point. Your video was on my recommend page and Ive just been watching away because I always wonder how my dad looked that day . We had to cremate him because of the bad condition his body was in :( when the mortuary home came to pick him up his body had purged and all that body stuff I cleaned up was the last memory I have of my dad . Sorry if thats tmi but this sparked up my curiosity again cuz i wish we could have had a viewing if the situation was different.
