The real irritant is Windows. We used to load the system and it would just stay the hell out of the way. Now, these idiots think we want hundreds of popups, ads, always online nonsense, AI garbage, cloud accounts, and consistently resetting things that you've set when an update (that likely breaks Windows anyway) decides to reset things. Microsoft should fix the problem first, and people might actually want to play on their platform again.

I only play on my steam deck and sometimes my ps5 pro. The only handheld that could be better than a steam deck would be a collaboration with Sony for the adaptive triggers. If that’s not happening no handheld matters except the steam deck 2 which is not needed at the moment. We need more game optimization. #EndLazyDevelopment

I just bought a steam deck 2 weeks ago, I have fell in love with it, using it as an emulation machine, I stopped finding modern games fun, going back to play gamecube/ps2 games is amazing. Not to mention a certain modern console it can also play

Yep bought a SD OLED last week and an Ally X this week to see what I like best. The Ally X is going back due to software, no OLED screen and the Ally X thumb sticks just don’t have the range of movement that those on the SD do.

What I would like to see for an Xbox handheld is a return to a Blades themed UI. Steam Deck's UI has a bit of that design with the two menu buttons.

I have a gaming PC with an RTX 3070 that has no issues. Yet I end up just playing on my steam deck all the time anyways. Gaming on the deck is just more enjoyable & cozier imo.

It won't run a windows custom OS and will just be a partner device its not gonna be anything special

The problem is a windows version of a handheld type device like the steam deck better speced won't work well...windows is to spec and resource demanding...

I am a PC guy, never had a console. All xbox games are PC games and all PS games come to PC, so PC wins. I am thinking in a handheld, wait until Deck 2 and get one if comes. So handheld is a mini PC, but i can play with it if i have 30 min or an hour with indie games and other small stuffs. So this will be the best combo to me.

It's obvious that Microsoft needs to make a version of their OS that's more gaming centric. No popups, no AI crap, no unwanted apps and no spyware to compete with the SD. WHICH they will not do since doing that will likely impact their main Desktop OS since most if not all will likely install that custom OS they will make for their handheld to avoid they unwanted bloat the main desktop os comes with. It might not happen on the get go and they will most likely have checks in place to prevent that, but knowing the gaming community... they will most likely find a workaround to install it on another hardware.
