My grandpa survived this earthquake. He stated that due to the lack of communication they thought it was the end of the world and some survivors even thought they were at the afterlife. He also said that actually more people died since those who lived beneath the hills got buried by multiple, uncountable landslides and all trace of their lives were lost forever.

I am from indonesia, my grandma's sister died in the 9.1 sumatra earthquake. May *everyone* that died in that earthquake rest in peace, i hope they will be okay.. Not just the people that die! also the ones that got injured. they might be able to live right? and not just in this earthquake, every earthquake! everyone has to be okay, well i hope they are.

As an Alaskan middle schooler we get hit with earthquakes a lot and just a few days ago on Friday the building shook (not bad though) it was an earthquake of 1.2 magnitude
