Reread the Golden Compass 2 years ago, re reading as an adult add a complete new perspective to the book. This is for me an absolute gem.

I'm currently reading Tower of Thorns by Juliet Marillier and also plan to read Earthlings by Sayaka Murata, Echo Wife by Sarah Gailey, and A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab in May. I read His Dark Materials series for the first time last year but have yet to watch the show.

I LOVE library of legends, my favourite book by Janie Chang is Dragon Springs Road because it features a Eurasian character and it really describes the struggles of someone who is mixed/Eurasian (which I am)

My May TBR: The Mask of Mirrors by M.A. Carrick, Master of One by Jaida Jones and Dani Bennett, The Unbroken by C.L. Clark, If I Had Your Face by Frances Cha, and The Forest of Stolen Girls by June Hur. The first three are chonkers (over 1600 pages for all three - although that's about the size of Oathbringer, LOL!), so I'm definitely challenging myself this month! I've started The Mask of Mirrors and am really enjoying it so far (about 100 pages in of the 630 total). Oh - and I HIGHLY recommend Ashes of the Sun by Django Wexler - that's one of those really good books that just didn't get the hype others have. I loved the characters and the world!

I'm so excited to see how you like Rhythm of War! Words of Radiance was my favorite (as I know it is yours), but I thought ROW hit it out of the park!! I feel like people don't love it as much if Oathbringer is their favorite, but if Words of Radiance is, as it is ours, people seem to love it!

Out of all the books I read last year I think about Library of Legends all the time, it was definitely in my 2020 top ten books.

I have a very ambitious TBR for the 2nd half of the month after I finish up these last two weeks of the semester. My top 2 priorities though are The Blood of Olympus and City of Lost Souls cause I'm on a Rick Riordan and Cassandra Clare binge this year

I just dnf’d a memory called empire :( not sure if I’m going to go back to it or not... I can’t decide if I didn’t like it or if I just wasn’t
in the right headspace for it right now. I’m going to sit on it for a bit and decide later.
