I literally sat down to order lunch today at a restaurant when a waitress put food on the table next to mine. The next thing I saw was my ex sitting down to eat. He was outside on the phone while waiting for his food. I dyed my hair blonde so he didn’t recognize me at first. We hugged, his hug was long and hard. We then spoke about our lives for an hour. My ex reached out at a party we were both at. I asked if she wanted to get lunch. We caught up with each other’s lives and I talked about how I’ve learned a lot about about attachment styles and trauma. She wanted a hug and said we should hang out again. I told her to let me know. I think I waited a week or two and asked if she still wanted to hang out. I get the “Sorry, I’ve been busy. We can still hang out” excuse. I give her my schedule and suggest a time. Haven’t heard back for six months lol.
