The Complete Linux Newb's Guide to Installing Arch

This video is targeted towards the complete Arch Linux newbie. This is the process I follow when installing Arch and I tried to be thorough in my explanations of what's going on behind the commands. I'm sure some of what I say isn't entirely correct so feel free to correct me in the comments.

Extended/logical partitions are a way to get around the 4 partition limit (4 free) when using an MBR partition table. This is for legacy Bios users. UEFI bootloader users would use the GPT table which does not limit the number of partitions, so Extended/logical partitions do not apply.

Really good content, exactly what I was looking for, i.e. simple, informative and well detailed. I will follow as I read through the arch installation guide. Thanks. Just one comment; I don't know if it's just me but the bottom of the screen is cut off?? So I missed some of the commands, particularly right at the end. Did anyone else notice that?

i /loved/ this video; your tone of voice (relaxed, quiet, yet still audible), gentle approach to teaching, and your overall unpretentious demeanor made it great. i took the linux plunge and wiped my SSD ~2 weeks ago after years of wanting to make the transition from Win10. your comments re: usability resonated with me SOOOO much. a big chunk of the reason why i wiped my OS is Win had become that legitimately frustrating for me to use.

TL;DR: it was great to have a recently-former newbie (perspective is important) act out a practical scenario while explaining things in clear terms. thanks for the hard work and please upload that ricing vid, since i like pretty stuff too :)

Thanks for the video and your time in doing this. I'm never try Arch becasuse I'm afraid that because is a rolling release and it can break the system. Am I wrong?
