This video is a great reminder that while YouTube has evolved, vlogging is not dead. It's all about being focused, strategic, and providing value to your viewers. By building a bond with your audience over time, you can create a successful channel, even in a crowded space. Don't let the fear of competition stop you from pursuing your dream of being a YouTuber. With dedication and hard work, anyone can make it in 2023 and beyond.

YouTube (and internet content in general) is like TV. Trends and formats come and go… then come back. TV has been doing sitcoms about dysfunctional married couples since day 1. Stuff changes but nothing really changes. “Same song different chorus…”

This is a great video and I've been thinking about this a lot. I think YouTube will change again - at the moment the old vlogging style is not being pushed, in favour of low budget style documentaries on every subject.
These videos are about the only thing I ever see in my home feed and are all very similar, flashy edits using the same video stock libraries, horrible narration that edits out the seconds and an overload of visual editing.
I think these kind of videos will fall out of fashion soon then we will see a return to more conversational style videos like PewDiePie used to make and more original content that thinks out of the box without needing jump cuts and flashy edits.
Time will tell...

I do a combination of vlogs and straight froward single topic advice. For my vlogs it helps if I slow the pace down rather than having it quickly cut and fast compared to other vloggers out there at the moment so I think it all depends on your niche.

This video provides a great overview of the current state of vlogging on YouTube and offers valuable insights for anyone looking to start or grow their channel. The fact that people still enjoy watching vlogs proves that the format is far from dead, but it's important to understand the evolving landscape of the platform and the increased competition. To succeed as a vlogger, you need to offer value to your audience, build a connection with them over time, and constantly work on improving your skills. The good news is, even in 2023, there's still plenty of room for new creators to make their mark on YouTube.

Honestly I still feel that sometimes people preffer vlogs over education :/

It is really hard to get started, but once you do it gets kind of addictive to optimize your channel and your videos.
I just started a couple of days ago with a travel vlog and I just can't stop thinking about how to optimize everything.
But I love it and I love the process!

Good to hear that vlogging isn’t dead, having just properly started my channel 3 weeks ago with cycling related vlogs!

Hoping I can bring viewers relatable and valuable content. 👌🏻

Nope not dead at all. In fact it's a NEW FRONTIER of communication. Who just talks on the phone all day anymore?...Texting is even becoming a relic of the past...but VLOGS, now that's what people are doing these days! Especially to communicate in one swoop what their day was like to an audience of either peer-creators or non-peer creators...Including running errands and grocery shopping 😂 ... COMMUNICATION is happening more now through vlogs than ever before. Eventually, micro-vidz will have a run for their money on other platforms that don't offer robust long form content production like here on YouTube. I enjoyed your video VIDIQ🥰!!! (Ask me more!)

Wow, what an amazing vlog! I absolutely loved every minute of it and can't wait to see more. Your energy and passion for what you do really shines through in every frame, and it's so inspiring to watch.

From the stunning visuals to the captivating storytelling, everything about this video was top-notch. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time, and I'm already looking forward to the next installment.

Thank you so much for sharing your talent and creativity with the world through your vlogs. You truly have a gift for entertaining and educating your audience, and I can't wait to see where you take us next.

I'm leaving a like and a heart on this video because it definitely deserves it. Keep up the amazing work, and know that you have a loyal fan in me!

I have a question for you vidIQ, I post short videos of GTA stunts and someone reuploaded one of my shorts… can I copyright strike them? I asked them to atleast give me credit and they havent even done that. I have a watermark on my shorts and the person tried blocking it out as well. What should I do?

Shelby Church Vlogs is another great example of connecting with audience and is much more following her throughout some activities. Great video!

No, vlogging is actually the new meta! The only difference is that the vlogs have to have a certain objective in mind, and Ryan Trahan proved it. His "Going through the USA until i deliver this penny to Mr Beast" is a testament to that. In it's roots, it's a vlog series of him going through a set of challenges to traverse the USA with 0 financial aid, but for his viewers, it's a journey with an end goal, which is clearly defined. Any vlog series that can follow this formula, and is successful at being interesting throughout it's length, is going to be a hit.

We're not going to worry about what YouTube thinks. We're making travel vlogs that help show what there is to do, educate and entertain in a cinematic way. We're story telling and having fun. The algo isn't responding and that's too bad for YouTube.

Vlogging is not dead and it will never be. There are people for everything. You just need to find your thing and grind till you make it happen

I don't think vlogging is dead, and I don't think it'll ever be. People like to be entertained while receiving value. I watch vlogs all the time, and I enjoy making them myself. We just have to find creative ways to make vlogs that's relevant, entertaining, and valuable.

I think vlogging is on life support! I really don't want to watch a person drive in their car, wash their face, and cook ramen noodles for an hour. 😊

Just remember entertainment CAN be value. Take your time on getting proper shots, use the right music and give your viewers an experience.
