Mark, I tie essentially the same "Alberto" leader knot and, for whatever reason, I've always wound 9 loops "away, " then 4 "back" and out through the loop. Like you, I find the knot to be solid with a very low profile. I bank fish one lake where it's very easy to get snagged in rocks. If I have to break the line by grabbing it with my hand, It almost always snaps at the hook knot, very rarely at the junction knot. Seaguar has been my "go to" fluoro choice forever. I'll give their braid a try next time I swap it out.

That's the knot I use for tying braid to mono leader for the saltwater. I go through the last loop twice but otherwise it's the same. I like it because if I get hung up on the structure I always break off at the knot but it's never failed fighting a fish.

I like gold label, but tatsu seems to work better as a leader for me, despite it being a main line.
