Surveillance video shows a correctional officer allegedly aiding the escape of an inmate at an Alabama prison. On April 29, correctional officer Vicky White was taking inmate Casey White to an appointment at the county courthouse. However, it was later determined that the appointment did not exist and the two did not return to the prison. Vicky White is now a wanted suspect, with a warrant out for her arrest. Authorities believe Vicky has a romantic relationship with the inmate.

The sheer desperation it takes to want someone like that 🤦‍♀️

Allowing him to follow her out should have been one of the first signs that something was off. Officers don't generally let the prisoner walk behind them to prevent being attacked from behind.

The sheer stupidity of doing this knowing there are security cameras everywhere.

Fraternizing with inmates is strictly forbidden for a lot of dangerous reasons, that woman just ruined her life, makes you wonder what she's thinking right now watching all this.

I would only do this for a family member that was wrongfully convicted and was on death row... other than that, nah, not worth it. We have a man in our town who was wrongfully convicted and killed and the real killer came forward years after the fact. So yea I'd risk it all for my father or brothers but some random guy, not happening.

I am concerned for this woman. She is probably lonely & lacking love in her life & was charmed & manipulated by a Narcissist or Sociopath who knew how to manipulate broken people.

Why do so many women develop a liking for criminals and not only excuse their wrongdoings, but even willingly aide them? Like how certain serial killers get thousands of love letters in jail. Bizarre. Not saying it never happens with men or that most women are like that but it seems to be a significant minority among women.

To all y’all saying “this is real love and it makes you do crazy things”

This ain’t love
Love don’t make you break the law and ruin your own life this hard
This is Stockholm syndrome, with a side of dickmatized.

There should be measures in place so that a second officer is required to approve the release of an inmate that far out of the office. Crazy that a single officer has the power to let out a serving inmate

So casual as if she's taking him to a court or something

I want them to make it to Mexico and then 20 years from now when she is almost 80 write a book all about how instead of retiring she decided to run away with a murderer in the name of steamy romance.

Someone will spot them eventually. Even if they change their Appearance they're gonna stick out like a sore thumb.

I live right where this happened. It's so weird, nothing deserving of national attention ever happens here. Lol

She was days away from retirement. No plans, no significant other. No close friends. No children. No real life outside of work besides her mother. They call it a "midlife" crises, but how many people do you know live to be 90 or 100 years old? She was thinking she was dead anyway. She wasn't living. She's a sad, pathetic person. No self esteem. She accepted what she felt she deserved. Nothing.

Seemed way too relaxed for transporting an inmate. Since when does an inmate follow a guard out a door with back to prisoner? She didn’t even buckle him in. All too relaxed.
