Inside the Manhunt for Escaped 6-Foot-9 Prisoner and Guard

The search continues for the Alabama prison guard and the 6-foot-9 inmate officials believe she helped escape. The ex-girlfriend of escaped inmate Casey White has a warning for that guard. “Get the hell out. Run. Run. Run as far as you can and turn yourself in,” she told reporters. She has good reason to fear him; Casey White was serving 75 years in an Alabama prison for trying to kidnap and murder her in 2015.

She probably actually thinks he loves her but of course he's using her. She threw away her life over this criminal. Who knows if she's still alive. She's of no use to him anymore.

The fact one officer can walk a prisoner out is the most alarming thing, surely there is protocol to stop things like this.If this guy kills someone it’s not just on her but the whole system.

She's NO longer a 'correctional officer, assistant director, or model employee.' Her new title is obviously 'felon' for aiding a dangerous convicted criminal's escape, and arming him with stolen LEO firearms. She well earned that bestowed title.

She's putting herself in danger but I guess she doesn't care and I bet he doesn't care much about her. He probably just liked her to have her help him escape

I have no sympathy for the ex-corrections officer. She was experienced - NOT a novice.. And blatantly has no regard for the victims, their families..nor the safety of the public ..

That officer is absolutely nuts!! She just completely ruined her life and put herself and other people in danger. Someone spending 75 years likely thinks they have nothing to lose. I pray no one gets hurt.

For anyone wondering how she just walked out with him, she's a veteran who oversees transportation. There's tons that happen on a daily basis. One transport deputy will sometimes stay with the vehicle so it's not unusual to see only one deputy escort an inmate out.
Since she was the supervisor there was no one left to question anything unusual but I'm sure they'll have a policy update pretty soon

Edit: This is in NO way a justification for her or for the insufficient policies that could be in place that would prevent this. This is only meant as an explanation for those assuming there must have been some great breach of security, massive inside job, or for those who wanna say the other deputies must not have been doing their jobs.

Isn’t supposed to be two correction officers with the inmate ? Maybe to avoid things like this or them getting hurt? And why a woman alone with a women killer?

He did not bust out of jail, he walked out.

I've never seen such a happier guy for someone who's mom who was murdered 7 years ago and now the killer is running loose somewhere.

Why was she allowed to even check this guy out - for a bogus court appointment which was not on the books - by herself? Their policy is always 2 jailers/officers with dangerous prisoner transports, yet whoever was getting him out of the cell let her just take him.

Some facts of the case:
1.He's 38, she's 56.
2. The day they escaped was her last day of work as she is going to be retired.
3. She just closed a deal on the sale of her house for way less than it's actual market value.
4. They've been on the run for 6/7 days.

I kinda hope that guard gets what she deserves for disregarding his victims like that. And if I was his ex, I would be preparing for battle. I wouldn't be placing my trust in anyone but myself for my safety. Head on swivel, always strapped, and knife in my boot for good measure.

At 1:37 I’ve never seen a son that his poor Mother was murdered smile and say that he’a absolutely furious about it. He must’ve got a good pay out from his Mothers demise and now he’s living his best life

This is scary. How they just managed to walk out the door like that. Surely he should have been under heavy guards considering what he's been sentenced for? I hope the ex-girlfriend is doing okay
