I don’t usually wear one but any time I’m around cement dust it’s a must! Cement dust goes into your lungs it will make concrete when it gets there, concrete also will burn skin (and your lungs)

You could mount a 100 ft tall flag pole in that well of concrete. Nothing exceeds like excess.

I bought an electric powered 3 bag mixer from a rental place going out of business, and it was a great investment.
It was old, but it works great.

They're actually pretty damn good. I did tile and marble for 9 years mixing by hand, take my word for it you got something that'll do it for you that's great!

I bought a red lion mixer in 1994 still have it it works great it paid for itself in one year.
I just did a shed pad. I just cut the top and 2 inch around the corners . Your the first person I've seen were there PPE😅😅😊

Put a piece of rebar under the bag in the center, cut with a razer pull the rebar upwards, bag is split in two ✌🏻🤙🏼

Another good tip is to use gloves, preferably also covering clothing.

Half bag of cement and 5/6 of sand does the job

It is crazy how few people know about tool rental from HD. I even rented a Flir camera there!

you can turn the mixer away from the hole so you're not mixing over hole.

A clean cut hole and no forms is always a better way.

I dumped the mixer and used a wheelbarrow for 250 bags of premix or cement/sand/aggregate. it was easier to shovel stuff into the wheelbarrow then pick up 80 pound bags to chest level
