Shocking Death toll of Myanmar’s year-long protests revealed by UN

UN human rights spokesperson Ravina Shamdasani has brought to light the fact that at least 1,500 people are known to have been killed in the year-long protests against the coup in Myanmar.  At least a thousand were likely killed in the armed conflict, as per the report. Shamdasani shared the gruesome figures at a U.N. briefing in Geneva. Although, Myanmar's ruling military group has denied the UN’s estimates.
