I use fabric for my performance based packs, and forge for my technical packs. I've attempted to use Syntria connector but it wouldn't work.

Eh, I still mainly play 1.12 and older, so it's forge or nothing for me

The day they make ice and fire on fabric is the day I’ll switch for good. Doubt it’s possible tho or I’m sure they would have. Then again I’d rly miss having the aether

There are still mods I don't really want to play without that aren't porting no matter what or don't have a fabric version yet. Fabric can be easier or better performing as much as it likes, without those mods I've been using for 8+ years, I'm good.

I hardly ever play on forge anymore. Fabric runs smoother and is a lot more stable with less incompatibilities to my experience. When I'm making a modpack on forge, I spend 99% of my time troubleshooting all the crashes

There’s ports of almost all popular mods like there’s a port of iris called oculus and there’s a straight port of replay mod and litematica

playing and making modpacks on forge for me is hell. For forge modpacks you can constantly expect choppy gameplay from modpacks with 200+ mods (which is basically the norm for forge packs) and also can expect constant crashing when you are making them. Fabric has its issues too, of course. Like the fact that the modding scene compared to forge is genuinely boring. But fabric being so much better performance wise just makes it take the cake for me.
