Is That SVT or Ventricular Tachycardia?

At the most basic level you have to understand that SVT is normally found with a narrow QRS and ventricular rhythms like ventricular tachycardia will be wide complex QRS. There are many other conditions that can "widen" a QRS but that is for another video understand this basic premise first when learning ECGs in paramedic school.

My son (18) is going in for catheter ablation in a week. The EKG’s, ultrasound, and Holter monitor have all pointed to Supra-ventricular tachycardia, or Ventricular tachycardia. I guess they won’t really know which it is until they get in there.

I’m trying not to be too nervous.

Explain for them when to perform modified valsalva maneuver or usual valsalva !!! SVT regular narrow QRS only .
