About halfway through it turned into a landslide victory for Emirates, starting with the restroom. No doubt who wins. Super job, TbD. Always good to get a “cheers”!

I would choose Emirates over BA providing the cost was no more than £50 more. If flying BA from T5 LHR in PEconomy or Economy you can pay to use a 3rd party lounge subject to space. The crunch for me tho is the A380 is QUIET. ..and much newer than the 20+ year old B777 BA use... Another great informative vlog thanks for posting...

A great and very interesting video - thanks! Also a refreshing change from the usual BA v Virgin comparison. It highlights really clearly just how far in front Emirates are. Why anyone would choose to travel BA over them on a shared route in any class is totally beyond me - even those with top tier status must struggle to justify continuing travelling with them. Having experienced yet another shocking Euro trip with BA recently that included in a 3 hour delay on the outbound leg, the return being cancelled and them offering a flight to City rather than Gatwick (where I was parked), I vowed never to use them again - I now prefer to travel Easyjet as they offer far better vfm. Keep up the good work!

I'm a fan of BA always have been and always will be, but as you mentioned Emirates are streets ahead of BA, considering the price paid for PE the use of plastic is not really acceptable the 2nd meal service was a disgrace.

I always laugh at the 'hot towel' given out by BA it would be more useful for wiping down kitchen counter tops.

Unfortunately BA just can't compete with Emirates, I think BA are slowly improving but they have a huge problem with a reputation for poor customer service on and off an aircraft and this needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency, however I will continue to fly with them and look forward to seeing an improvement in customer service standards.
Great vid, I agree with all of your comments.

On the BA A380 upper deck window seat there is a large space for extra storage which is a nice bonus.

Emirates makes me go wow :) love the white leather, the cabin looks luxurious and the restroom yes! I've only done premium on BA A380, these seats here look much thinner, not a fan of that. Great comparison video!

The BA seats are about the same as used by South West trains Putney to Waterloo trains service.

“On that front, front, front…” in this video! To answer your question, it’s BA for me as I’m a slave to Tier Points and I find all the fake wood etc. gaudy. Please keep them coming!

Hi, another great review. I think I would choose Emirates over BA because everything looks just that little bit more premium. The cabin looks real quality. Cheers

Fair and balanced review. Leaving from AUH slightly nicer than DXB T1 😜

I really like the comparison reviews. The only others I've seen, the Points Guy just tires me out for some reason. Easy win for BA here. I wonder how Virgin PE would have fared? We just got back from NY on Virgins A330-900 Neo in the Retreat Suite - fabulous!!

I've not flown Emirates PE so in a way can't comment...but I will anyway as I've done Emirates Econ and Business...and all classes in BA. My key criteria would be 1) Seat 2) Food 3) FAs 4) Entertainment 5) Price. For Seat, Food and Entertainment - Emirates PE wins easily. FAs - tough to call as both are very good generally. You didn't mention price - were they comparable? Very interesting comparison - I'm quite keen to try out Emirates PE especially for a daytime flight.

They both feel a bit narrow.
242 PE on the BA a350s vs 333 in economy seems like the width is only marginally better in PE.

Emirates hands down more premium and would have been preferred, but I’m gold with BAEC so have to consider other factors when making travel plans. Also, Emirates tend to much pricier based on my experience checking it out a few times.

B.A are not about being aesthetically pleasing in any way. Plane Jane should be their name, but flight experiences, I've liked overall.

Only if you are going to Dubai. Experience shows hubbing at Dubai is time-consuming and can increase jet lag time travelled unnecessarily.

Even as a Brit, I would choose Emirates!

interesting video, i am based in Dubai, i have a choice to fly to the US direct with Emirates or via LHR with BA, yes PE in EK looks much better, but fo rme doesnt justify the fare, 10000 AED vs 6000 AED !! thats 2200 GBP vs 1325 GBP is it worth it ? also in both airlines you have to pay more to select your seat, or risk been assigned in the middle upon check in.!!(extra hidden cost)
