No other singer sings this song with as much emotion, passion and heart as she does. She definitely owns this song

Many moons ago, I heard her open for the Allman Brothers in The Woodlands (Houston). As I was walking in, I thought "Who is that??" It takes a lot of power, beauty and skill to fill an open-area venue and she absolutely nailed it. Been a fan ever sense

This song breaks my heart. I saw Bonnie Raitt perform it in NOLA with my fiancé before I screwed up and lost her. I can't listen to it without nearly dying, but, God, it is so beautiful.

"Just give me one thing to hold on to. To believe in this livin' is a hard way to go." A great song sung by a beautiful and talented person. It touches my soul.

I never thought anyone could do this Prine song other than Bonnie.
I was wrong. ♥

This song is so true about me.  I am a woman named after my mother, I lived in Montgomery for a few years, and when I was a young girl I had and still have my cowboy.  Excellent song, John Prine!!  Love Susan's version!!

Saw her in Indy when BB King was headliner, years ago before this came out. She was a voice to be reckoned with and loved, I see her every year in Theschi Trucks and they do this song every time,

some times certain people find that song they were meant to sing, I am sure John Prine never knew Susan when he wrote it. I am also sure he is proud as he can be she does sing it, it is 1 of her standards and i hope she never quits singing it and doing it with her spin because this does not happen often sometimes we get lucky to hear it and it is good all the way around

I always loved Bonnie Raitt’s version but Susan’s is even more beautiful.
