When singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi sings and plays, you can hear the sound move from the Mississippi Delta up to Chicago. As this video shows, she can dispense uptempo dance grooves and coax her voice around the anguished lyric of the blues.

At the same time, guitarist Derek Trucks seems to summon forth the entirety of contemporary music when he slides his bottle neck up and down the fretboard. As you'll see, The Tedeschi Trucks Band functions in the service of a collective vision that celebrates the blues, jazz and so much more.

Let Me Get By is available now:

Set List:
"Just As Strange"
"Don't Know What It Is"
"Anyhow"

Credits:
Producers: Bob Boilen, Felix Contreras, Niki Walker; Audio Engineers: Josh Rogosin, Kevin Wait; Videographers: Niki Walker, Kara Frame, Cameron Robert, Morgan McCloy; Production Assistant: Jackson Sinnenberg; Photo: Matailong Du/NPR.

I've developed a habit of returning to this.

Susan and Derek are my absolute favorites and are helping me cope with my wife's Alzheimer's. Their music takes me away and gives me a break from reality. Thank you guys, Love you!!

Derek is so good that most people comment about him instead of Susan. She’s SO good. They are all so good but singing is so hard and Susan always kills it. Pitch perfect in a really hard way

The patience that allowed Derek Trucks to become such a penultimate guitarist also serves him well to be a Jacksonville Jaguars fan

I dislike most current music. But this group is special. The tight harmonies, Trucks’ guitar chops, and especially Tedeschi’s voice. She’s so incredibly superior to today’s kiddie-pop princesses.

Susan brings a 250 lb. construction worker to tears every time. What a voice.🎉

Never have I seen someone hit a solo that hard while maintaining the facial expression of reading the morning paper LOL. This band is ridiculously talented.

Transition into “Anyhow” with Derek’s guitar, Susan looking over and then her emotional vocal layering in… makes a grown man wanna cry. Bless this light in our world today

Scrolled through the comments. And no comment about the crazy sax solo at 8:30. He just shots of and take the whole gig to another genre. A complete different place. And it’s tasteful and fits right in. Genius. I love it.

This is the best TDC I've ever seen. If they had been around in the 70's they'd been as big as the Stones and Zep. Her voice is unreal.

First of all, the Tiny Desk Concert sound engineers must be amazing. Eleven people up there and it is all crystal clear and you can hear everyone.

Second, I love Susan's smiles when Derek is soloing.

The guys on backing vocals are really enjoying it. Great to see people do stuff they love.

That is the highest concentration of top notch musicians per square foot.

How lucky are we that the greatest living guitar player happened to fall in love with Bonnie Raitt 2.0 and they decided to form a rock and blues revival band?? Unreal this band. Unreal.

I like the way she smiles at him. I hope I find someone like that

Susan Tideschi is the best living blues vocalist, male or female, period!

Susan Tedeschi isn't exactly underrated, but she deserves even more recognition on how bad-ass she is.
