Prioritize Tasks

What is Prioritization?
Prioritizing entails deciding which tasks should have to be completed in what sequence, based on their importance. This method can assist you in managing your time.
It teaches you how to prioritize your work, meet deadlines, and allocate more time to larger projects.
Prioritization skills will help us to complete more tasks in less time.
Ways to Prioritize the task

There are two common ways of looking at prioritization:
1. In regards to what should be done first when you have a lot of tasks to complete.
2. In regards to time management, as you prioritize throughout the day to make sure you have time for everything.
Adopt a task prioritization method
• Selection of Task
Put down six most important tasks you need to accomplish the next day
• Rank the task
In order of importance
• First task priority
When you begin work the next morning, give your full attention to the #1 task. Work on that task until it’s completed before moving to task #2.
• Repeat for other tasks
Do the same for task #2 and so on down the list. If you’re interrupted with a true emergency, get back to your task as quickly as possible.
• End of day
Make your list of six priorities for the following workday, carrying over any remaining items.
Eisenhower Decision Matrix
Categorize the tasks into four quadrants based on their importance, urgency, both, or neither.
1. This method will help to determine what you need to do right now (important and urgent),
2. what you need to prepare for (important but not urgent), what you might be able to assign (not important but urgent),
3. what you might be able to delete (not important and not urgent). It's a perfect way to prioritize projects, make fast decisions, and keep focused.
ABCDE Method
1. Assign each task a letter value based on its importance level on the task list you've generated, and then tackle tasks accordingly.
2. Better do It's a method of quickly weighing job value in order to help you prioritize and control your time.
3. This is similar to assigning grades to your assignments, ranging from A (extremely important) to E (insignificant) (eliminate whenever possible).
4. Make sure you're still focusing on your A and B tasks first, as they'll determine whether or not you succeed at work.
ABCDE in action
You have 8 hours of working hours and the tasks aligned is 16 hours. In this case if you name the tasks as A,B,C,D. The task A and task B can be completed for the day, where as the task C and task D cannot be completed. These tasks can be assigned or rescheduled to someone else.
