Soldering iron is dirty. Buy a brass brush. Get the iron hot and gently brush the tip. When you see it start to shine up you want to try to get the solder to sick to it. An repeat. Once the solder is sticking an melting good get a new sponge just a cheap regular one nothing fancy and get it wet. Wring it out and wipe your soldering iron tip with it. Every time you solder something clean your tip. If you solder a wire clean your tip. If you're not done with it but you're gonna sit it down for a second, clean your tip. Always clean your tip.
