The PROPER way to easily remove your PS5 side plates without breaking it.

I’ve seen a lot of videos showing how to take off the side plates on your PlayStation 5 and they say to just yank up as hard as you can until it pops off. That’s stupid, don’t do it. You just lift on the top back corner gently and the whole thing pops right off. Tell your friends.

Thanks. I'll try this next time. Yeah, all the ones I'd seen has them laying down on the side. I got real horrors trying to remove and replace my covers for the first time before. So much so I nearly gave up a couple times. I actually ended up breaking one of the prongs when I double-checks afterwards. Hopefully this would be easier. Bookmarked.

They get removed this easily only when they have been removed a couple times before. It gets a bit loose then. I remember the first time i tried to remove even after watching a dozen tutorials. It was horrifying lol. Never again I tried to remove the plates after that 😂

Although keeping the console straight up while removing them might help a bit

It's only that easy because you've taken your panels off numerous times making it easier for them to be removed. If you are someone who's never taken the side panels off your system it's likely going to have to use more force to get them off.

Only took this off once for the SSD 2 tb upgrade. Will use this video again when I upgrade to the 4tb this year.
