Interested in resolving depression and anxiety naturally?

MTHFR gene mutations are a very important topic for mental health. These MTHFR genetic mutations affect more than 57% of the population. The most common genetic SNPS are MTHFR C677T and MTHFR A1298C.

In this video Dr Janelle Sinclair discusses MTHFR gene mutation symptoms (MTHFR symptoms) and MTHFR indicators. MTHFR and depression, and MTHFR and anxiety will be covered. MTHFR is also very important for Schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, infertility, migraine, and Cardiovascular disease. She also talks about the biochemical consequences of a MTHFR mutation including enzyme activity for MTHFR homozygous C667T (MTHFR C6ttT mutation), MTHFR heterozygous C677T and MTHFR homozygous A1298C.

Here's a link to a review article on MTHFR genetic mutations and the associated diseases.

Do you think this genetic weakness may be affecting you? Or have you had yours tested? Let me know what you found and whether compensating for the weakness benefited your health. I'd love to hear.

My doctor did an MTHFR Genotype Analysis (Blood Test) and my results say C677T mutation Heterozygous and A1298C mutation Heterozygous. I looked it up and it ticked a lot of boxes regarding my health. Thankfully I made several lifestyle changes many years ago, but I will be watching your other videos to see what you recommend. Thanks for this explanation. I’ve started taking an activated B complex and it doesn’t make me vomit like I did when I took a B complex once (before I knew I had MTHFR) I don’t generally eat bread, but if I do, I stick to gluten free (home made), trying to cut back on coffee, I only drank 2 cups a day, but now down to 1, trying to eat more fruits and vegetables, particularly the greens, and add in more legumes. I only got my results a few months ago and so I’ve only really started my journey. Will let you know more about the health benefits as I know.

Love your simple explanation of the MTHFR mutations. I have one copy of each SNP and I've found that adding in folate-rich foods (beans, lentils, asparagus, greens, avocado, etc) has had the biggest impact on my mental focus and energy levels. Still working on finding a good Vitamin B supplement.

Thanks Janelle. I think I might have one of these gene variations, but am going to test to find out. My daughter was born with tongue and lip tie (which has caused us all sorts of problems), which is what prompted me to look into this further, as well as depression and bi-polar in our family. Also - totally not related, but I just wanted to say I love the blouse you are wearing in this video :)

My test came back as having an intermediate risk for the C677T. I was muscle tested for MORS by systemic formulas. I took my kids to get checked too and they also have it so I started them on supplements too:)

I am 35 years old and I am on the Autism spectrum I have PDD-NOS. And I have a sacral dimple. And I am not sure if I have the MTHFR gene mutation. And I was planning on getting the covid-19 vaccination. But I have read that if I have the MTHFR gene mutation I should not take the covid-19 vaccination.

Hello, do you know if the C677T variant is sometimes linked to ADHD?

i have 1 copy of each and have stuggled with health issues my whole life. Intese depression when I was a teen and extreme IBS for as long as I can remember, specifically an intolerance to sulfur rich foods. Acne and folliculitis and now PCOS and hypothyroid

Hi Doctor, are there any links to vaccinations and this mutation?

My sister is heterozygous for both mutations. I read that has the same effect as being homozygous.
