Knowing When It’s Time for Assistance: Episode 2 - Instrumental Activities of Daily Living

In this, the second episode of the series, we discuss the Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, or IADL.

IADL involves five additional daily activities that determine a person’s ability to live independently.
These activities include:

Paying bills

Cleaning the house

Cooking for yourself

Transporting yourself outside the house

Socializing

Each category is scored “1” (capable), or “0” (not capable).

The higher the score, the more independent the person.
