Great advice but i think at plat people should learn rotations and also some air plays not so mechanical but average air moves

Im gold 3 and I play with diamond 3 players, the funny thing is, that I have decent air control, cant dribble, know how to rotate, can do a half-flip, have decent recoveries (most of da time) but I sometimes still miss the easiest open nets (missing while being 30m away from the net with no enemy in sight lmao

Very underrated. i think Demos are VERY important and really help at around Diamond

I learned double taps very recently as a plat-3 because they seem to help a lot. (obviously not needed, but definitely help considering that it might help me proceed through early diamond fast.) I also learned a VERY basic, 2-touch air-dribble when i was gold 3. didn't help anything because I couldn't execute it very well. learned how to do it better during plat-2.

I think that you should speed flips at diamond they are the best flip and are super useful to increase the speed of rotations. I wish I learned them earlier as they are not too hard to learn but being consistent is the hard part

Kickoffs need mentioning I'd say as early as possible and probably stuff like zap dashes, wall dashes and things once you get to gc for that extra speed of play you need when your higher, good video though man keep it up!

also I can mention one thing. if you want to rank up faster than some players, train one mechanic that is from the nearest rank above you (plat -> 1 mechanic from diamond)

Started playing in December and started studying right away wanting to improve. Glad to say since I average gold but did hit plat in my 2’s.. I can do everything up to plat and a bit of diamond things.

Still obviously have a long way too go but I feel I am getting up to speed fairly quickly

you should mention wall-dashes and zap dashes. wall-dashes especially as they improve your game speed significantly and are not too hard to learn for kbm.

Thanks for tips. Got placed gold and I don't know the stuff you mentioned at Silver so I should get on that...after I complete the battle pass. Only 73 lvls to go.

You would think the satisfaction of getting better and learning new moves would get new players to keep playing the game, so it blows my mind that there's no xp for training/freeplay. Guess comp is my training mode for now.

I learned wave dash at about gold2 and pinch at gold one. I've been trying to learn speed flips and it's too hard. I'll get it for one day and then forget.

I can sometimes do a half flip but only sort of.

I also accidentally do a horsey every not an then. Maybe 5 or so times.

I would learn speedflips at Diamond, not Champ. A lot of players are learning them earlier on and not knowing how to do them means you lose waaay more kickoffs.

solid video, however i don't agree with learning ceiling shots as a diamond or flip resets as a champ (key word being "must-learn" in the title, they are certainly not must-have in these ranks at all - i feel like you did sorta include a few that aren't actually *must have* mechanics), and i think as some people have mentioned improving kickoffs should be around plat/diamond, even if it's just flipping on your approach. also c have mentioned boost management at diamond level (idk if this is a mechanic though).
also what diamonds are "commonly" hittind doubletaps in ur lobbies :sob: im a d3 and i see them once every like 10 games

flip reset in plat 1, double flip reset in plat 3, triple/quad reset in diamond 2, flip reset musty to flip reset in diamond 2, ceiling to flip reset in diamond 2, ceiling musty to flip reset in diamond 2, want to be a pro freestyler
diamond freestyler ATM

Well I can 20% of the "Must-Learn" for champs but I am still high end gc2, am I doing sth wrong?😂
I cant do flip resets and maybe 2 out of 10 ceiling shots lmao

So as a champ I kinda disagree with the mechanics ofc u can learn to freestyle and shit but most of the Times u dont have the perfect setup. I would rather recommend that u learn basic flips like 180, mawkzy flip, 45 flip, half flips and very important speed flips, next thing you should definitely learn is recovery I see it so often and even after I changed my binds if u cant recover its basically and 2v1 every time so yk learn recovery. Next thing u should definitely learn as a champ is aerial control this includes air dribbles/ air drags, redirects and ofc flip resets, you also should focus and awareness I see it so often and even I stuggle with this one try to read the ball and the opponent and dont just drive blindly around the field. The last and probably most important thing u should learn if not already learned is air roll powershots and placement if u on pc use workshop maps because those work golden, another huge tip is mute all chat only have team chat this keeps you from raging. You should only play when u feel like it and dont force it, if u are on a losing streak then just stop playing for couple hours or go in freeplay and chill a bit.

This should summarize everything and yeah have fun!
