5 Best Mechanics for Low Rank Rocket League Players to Learn. Today we are covering the best mechanics for lower level rocket league players in order to help them improve in rocket league. After looking over some beginner rocket league player replays and some other lower level games, I have made a little video going over the best mechanics to learn as a low level player to help you improve and rank up in rocket league. This video does not include flip resets and air dribbles. Instead, it goes over Halfflips, wall play, power shots, aerials and momentum. A big thing to take away is the aerial tutorial section and how to aerial in rocket league. This is a big thing low ranked players seem to struggle with. I am someone who likes to work on my mechanics and always try to have the best rocket league mechanics that I can. And so this is my low level mechanic tutorial for rocket league players who are looking to improve and looking to rank up.

Going into a local match with the slomo mutator vs a bot really taught me alot. Playing it slowed down helped me figure out alot really fast

Thanovic I’ve followed you for awhile, idk if u remember me, I just hit GC in 3s yesterday and I’m almost GC in 2s, it’s amazing because when I was d3/c1 u were that rank too in ur old videos now we’re both a lot better and higher ranked, I’ve watched us both get better at flick, ceiling shots and power shots. keeo grinding bruh

The fact that Thanovic gives helpful advice to all of us low level (and high level) players is a nice and kind thing to do. Thanks dude :]!

Great video, Thanovic :)
But learning half flips with directional air roll bound to a button first, makes it harder once you're trying to learn them only using the analog stick. Muscle memory and all that.. Having air roll right (let's say) bound to a button is helpful for recovering from a poorly executed half flip tho.

THANK YOU 🤗🤗🤗 I remember being stuck in gold and silver and looking for resources that targeted players of my level but there was next to nothing there. If i had to change one thing, though, I would argue that constant air roll is a bit of a stretch--which I guess is the point of it in your vid--but in its place I would maybe suggest powersliding (for sharp turns and recoveries) or maybe even double jump aerials (3 variations). I would argue that below Plat1 air roll is most useful as a recovery mechanic, not a shooting mechanic.

Just got into rocket league, wish I woulda gotten into it way earlier ! It seems so intimidating for new players, but the game does a great job with matchmaking / making your improvements visible. Sure, when I watch these clips that level of control seems unattainable. But when I'm in the game, I always feel the satisfaction that I got a tiny bit better during each session. There's a shockingly low number of games that do this, and do it this well.

As long as the game continues to stay fun as I'm learning, I don't mind at all. On the outside, it seems like you just bang your head against a wall for 300+ hours and then finally get some enjoyment - but it really is every single session ending with slight improvements each time.
