“Backlashes can occur” - the biggest lie on the internet. Backlashes WILL occur…

I'd say that the casting accuracy comes down to skill and isn't necessarily an issue of the reels themselves.

I'll stick with my spinning reel
I've never struggled with accuracy and distance is rarely a important factor

baitcasters feel so nice and when you get used to it its amazing and you can cast so far

Casters really do have an edge when it comes to sheer casting power and accuracy, but man is it hard to throw super light baits with them

Which One Do You USE MORE ⁉️ Personally I LOVE My Baitcasters❗️❗️

Spinning reels. Cast further with less effort. Can get more line on.

honestly i feel like people make too big of a deal when it comes to backlash and birdsnests, every lure has a sweet spot on the brake and only takes a couple of seconds to find, you only really need to change it when there’s a big difference in weight

POV you scroll down some videos and you see the spinning reel one video

I don't know about the color scheme, but it is refreshing to see such an interesting pattern on a baitcaster.

I hate that everyone says the spinning reel is for beginners, it’s for everybody it’s THE definitive reel, baitcasters are for YouTubers

U cast further with spinning reels. The spool being horizontal on a casting reel has more drag. Where as the spinning reel has massively less drag from the line coming off rod freely. The upside for casting is the heavy drag ability/ the ability to use heavier lures making it seem like it will cast farther since your lure weighs probably double what you would use on a spinning reel. If you test this in perfect scenario like exact lure, line, rod, and power put into cast. The spinning rod will cast farther. But tbh i never tried myself. Id like to see someone actually test the science to prove/disprove. Also figure out actually how much further it will actually cast. Definitely need a robot to do the casting for you. The are still a lot of variables that would be hard to keep the same but it would be super interesting if done well.

I only get wind knots with braid, when the line is put on twisted on my spinning reels. Memory with Mono/flourocarbon will also cause wind knots.

Spinning. Bait casters are not worth the struggle especially on hard days.

It also depends on what type of fishing you doing

Best describe the video I've ever seen between the two

The distance and accuracy is user error. When it comes to catching fish on lures it’s all about presentation. And the fish can’t tell the difference between a 40 dollar Walmart combo and a 500 dollar bait caster on some ridiculous rod built specifically for the lure your using.

Casting is for heavy or big profile bait fishing or species of fish spinning is for finess and light weight baits for fresh water

Baitcasters are so much more fun to use and once you get good I find that they are faster to cast, more accurate, and easier to launch lures farther. If you need reliability or just an all around rod to do anything, go spinning. If you have multiple setups, use your lighter stuff with spinning and heavy stuff with baitcasting. Backlashes really aren’t a problem once you get used to it. Maybe a couple per season but really not that bad.
