Big Seal Charges At His Rescuer

The seal perceives our rescue team as a threat and instinctively charges at the rescuer to scare him away, a tactic that works well against most of his natural predators. However, this strategy is useless against a much more powerful enemy: plastic. Tiny loops of packing strap pose a severe threat to seals and other marine animals including turtles, dolphins, fish and seabirds, who can't fight back or avoid them. It's a one-sided struggle, far removed from the concept of survival of the fittest.

I make every attempt to be sure the plastic rings and bags are cut and made it so not to get any animal stuck in it. They should make packaging that ends up in the ocean edible - regarding fishing gear they should make that safer too. I enjoy watching your videos!
