I honestly don't know how I thought I could crochet before I met you. I have been crocheting for 59 years and it was just ordinary. Then I found you and my crocheting has improved in leaps and bounds. It's great being able to go over some older vidoes to refresh my memory. You have given me a new enthusiasm for crochet and I will never stop. Thank you.

My grandma started teaching me to crochet when I was 8 or 9 years old, but she passed away before I turned 10 so she didn't really have time to teach me very much. All I really knew was the chain, slip stitch, single and double crochet and how to weave in my ends. Since I didn't yet have the skills to make a lot of very useful items, hadn't yet learned to read a pattern, had no one else in the family to teach me, and could not figure out from written instructions how to work new stitches like the half double and triple crochet, I lost interest fairly quickly. Then the internet happened, YouTube was invented, and I recently discovered the crochet community.

So, here I am, more than 40 years later, spending entire afternoons watching wonderful, generous people like you crochet online, trying my best to imitate what you do, and feeling so proud of myself when I get it right! Sometimes, I feel like I'm 8 years old sitting on the couch with my grandma again.

Thank you so much for sharing your skills and knowledge with the rest of us!

Takes an already beautifully smooth edge. Achieves the impossible, and makes it the most perfect edge ever.

Geez, I’d be happy with the “before” swatch! I’m a beginner, and, have been practicing, practicing, practicing, small swatches, getting better, slowly. I’m not giving up, certainly would welcome a break through in crochet. I appreciate your teaching

That is genius! I make a lot of small blankets and always had to finagle a smooth edge. This really ups my game!

Thank you! I'm struggling with learning a new craft while being a perfectionist. This helps a lot. My biggest problem still is having straight sides, without adding or missing stitches. I'll keep learning and try not to sweat the small mistakes.
