With so many changes from tip to tail and significant price hikes, is Toyota’s self-proclaimed ‘King off the Road’ still an apex predator as a fully featured, family-friendly off-roader?

What I find it unreasonable is - only the highest end models got diff lock's- I think all LC's should be with lockers. Its very unfair and not reasonable at all for enduser.

Quoted 8.9 lph please be aware once the car is 'worn in' will get this range. Can't take between 5, 500-10, 000km especially with a 10 Speed Auto. Easy. Used to get 10.2 out of the old 6 speed 200.

Let's be frank, it's gonna be used mainly on the highway and touring, and that's ok that's what it's built for. Let's not forget Toyota do sell a no thrills LandCruiser if you want that V8 with a 5 speed.

Comes with knocking noise in front suspension at 140k that’s brilliant Toyota

It would be much better with a split tailgate on 300series, I would keep waiting for the split tailgate to come out.

Now this a great car, it's really good, the price is actually reasonable, but the wait time is INSANE!

There is a lot I like about this 300 upgrade, but IMO, unfortunately there are some major fails:
1) Wired Apple CarPlay - (Even a $25k Hyundai i30 has WIRELESS Apple CarPlay.)
2) DVD player - does anyone even use DVD’s anymore? (Could have put a two phone wireless charging pad in this space - especially for a touring car designed for a family.)
3) Rear screens - obsolete before released. (Could have put tablet mounts with chargers, and even a high speed 5G wireless network module.)
How does a great company like Toyota, drop the ball on these basic points?
Fortunately, a simple tech upgrade could fix all this - I hope they do it - I’ll be straight in to buy one.

Well done on a great vehicle upgrade Toyota - I think you just fell short on the technology side.

Service interval, every 6 months, really. I thought this was supposed to be an improvement over the 200???

Oh wow, it has central diff lock, Toyota should charge extra for that

For the same money you could get a vastly superior V8 diesel VW Touareg which has 310kw and 900nms and it will easily tow whatever the Landruiser will. And it is a much better drive and actually looks far more premium than the pedestrian King of Mediocrity.

That CD player and dead space below it is a joke in a 2020’s car. No modern TPMS, no sophisticated cameras and blind spot for trailers (like the US trucks), old style dashboard (with a poverty pack digital screen) and crap Lane Assist shows that Toyota as a company is way behind the Koreans…
