Pootin would rather squander Russia's wealth & reputation than admit defeat. I bet he is going all in thinking that his own reputation will be saved. Too late for that DOOD

Warsaw was flattened, and rebuild. Peoples minds were not. I lived the results, still do. A chance to fight is decisive.

Zelensky said less than a week ago “The future of Ukraine will be decided in Severodonetsk”.
A week later it and everyone is saying it’s irrelevant.

I think its significant that even Igor Girkin, the architect of the "rebellion" in the Donbass, said in telegram that in his view the 2nd phase of the war was a failure for Russia.
Incredible amounts of manpower and material were wasted for 2 small cities, and in the end Russian sources confirm that only a few hundreds of POWs were taken, which means that the overwhelming majority of highly experienced Ukrainian soldiers successfully evacuated.

I don’t recall the exact words, but USMC Major General Smedley D. Butler was asked how long it would take to train a new marine or soldier to invade and fight in a foreign land. He said it would take six (6) months. When asked how long it would take a to train a new marine or soldier to fight and defend his homeland, General Butler said “ONE HOUR.”

Hard to predict how this will go but one thing is certain: Russia will be a lot weaker after this war in every way. Even if they "win".

Major General Rupert Jones was actually quite sensible contrary to the most British military or government figures. Refreshing.

If this General joined the Ukrainian soldiers in the field in their battle against Russia, then perhaps, he could make an accurate assessment and evaluation of the war in Ukraine.

This time Russia can't get away with it, they must suffer hard for this.

Reduce the volume of the music at the end of the conversation so as not to blow out the ear drums of people listening on ear buds

winning and losing are terms that really cant apply here, as they both have won and lost. a better question is, what does the outcome look like?

Taking land is one thing. Occupying it is a completely different level. Putin knows he's failed long term

Really like this presenter. Very good interview. Major Jones is very thoughtful in his responses.👍

The reality is both sides are losing. This is a negative sum game. Ukraine will de facto lose territory. Russia will gain territory that nobody will recognise, and has no value due to being completely destroyed. They will also be an international pariah state.

🤣🤣🤣 some propaganda here, the reason ukraine cant get out of there ports, is because the Ukrainians laid mines all around odessa and cant get out themselves
