This good video, but way too fast being only 0:25 second long. Better to make 5-10 minute version of this, so we can clearly see what is happening in the war in diffrent times.

even with 0 movement of the front lines, probably thousands are dying every week

I'm not even an arm chair general but it looks like the northern attack was a distraction and hail mary to capture the capitol. Although it would have been an accomplishment for Russia, securing the southern border to fortify their access to the black sea was the real objective. The northern assault also could of provided information about Ukrainian strength and willingness to defend the capitol for the next time Russia attacks. If they push as far as Odesa, they could land lock Ukraine and dictate their access to the sea for decades or centuries to come.

Like looking at a map of the eastern front during WWII up until, say, Stalingrad.

Let’s admit it, Russia’s trying to confuse the west.

So Ukraine's front line has really remained unchanged since November 2022...

Look at how much the frontline has moved in one year. It's a stalemate

So from this map, can we conclude that the new borders have basically stabilized and hardened?

This reminds me of ww1. When Germans didn't get Paris, they dug into their trenches and this trench warfare lasted many years with little changes in a map.

insight for people who dont know "the frontlines havent really change since early month of the war begin (1or 2 month) . its become clear what russia objective are, and they stay defensive in that position until now. and ukraine didnt gain anything significant since then. this is true smo, "say 3day smo" is just for Kyiv distraction to acquire the ground from crimea until northern part of ukraine "the disputed area". prolonged defense on kharkiv also likely use as distraction to strengthen logistic in other area. this will be a long war indeed / SMO"
