10 Super Mechanic Hacks ! l You must know l Subi-Performance

Excellent tips, I used many of those in my working career. On the double wrench trick, or anytime using wrenches, if you're pushing on the wrench, use the palm of your hand open, if your fingers are wrapped around the wrench and it slips off, your knuckles will hit aluminum with skin ripping force! If the dowel pins are in a blind hole you can use a close fitting bit of anything (or not so close and some tape) put some water or grease in the hole and hammer the object down, the hydraulic pressure will force it out after a few hits.

if you have any silica gel packets, you could add a few prior to wrapping the block in plastic to absorb any moisture.

i used to work for a company that imported Trumpf Machinery into Australia, i really wish i had grabbed a few dozen of the 2Kg bags that came with every machine.

I use the tape hack routinely, and I like to have the sticky side of the tape facing the socket. That way you don't need to reach in and grab the tape.
Nut setters are still my favorite though.

great video thank you i now know more hacks, the one with the tape and socket i have used many times my father taught me it, now sometimes i use magnets inside the sockets, the flat kind that fridge magnets are made from, you buy them at the craft stores, very cheap cut to shape you need and place in the socket and it works very well, i work mostly on old Volvos and it has been a big help in the hard to reach areas or places you can't see 👍, more of these videos would be awesome

Nice tips. In English (in the US anyway) we call that a deburring tool.

Some methods that you use as a professional mechanic every day, you feel quite normal yourself. Not professional mechanics sometimes can't get out of the amazement when they see how to fix the most difficult problems with sometimes the simplest means.

Thankyou for the dowel pin trick, I destroyed one last time and when you don't have a spare, it's a massive time waster.

Deburring tool / burr-removal tool is the one you showed taking the hard edge off the cylinder<->deck edge.
