Never put WD-40 on window tracks. It will work great for a while then get all gummy and they will barely move at all. What you want to use is a dry lubricant like spray graphite. You can use it over and over and it won't make the window stick

Spend three hours making a sanding pad when you could go to lowes and buy one in a couple minutes.
The tire plug, I've ridden for years with nails and screws in my tires. When I find roundtoit time to get them plugpatched I do. As long as they're holding air you're most likely good to go.
