Why I started Jiu Jitsu? During my daughter's the tournament in Feb 2023, I sat sideline video taping my daughter getting crushed, and I had nothing to say, watching her getting destroyed. After as a dad tried to give a pointer on the move but she was pretty upset and said "Dad, you don't know anything", I was going to say something back but realized that she was 1000% correct. I was crushed and made a promised that I will learn. And today going 4 months ... getting crushed every single day, but I did learn alot. Now I roll with her and we develop bonding in Jiu Jitsu.

I started jiu jitsu because i was an addict. I decided to try and quit, and eventually made it. This created a void in my life. Jiu jitsu filled that void. Cheers from a white belt =)

I started doing jiu jitsu because Joe Rogan kept talking about it on his podcast and because watching the UFC became a habit of mine, plus i always wanted to learn how to fight. I now love it much more than i would have imagined, I discovered a new part of myself. Ill keep doing jiu jitsu till the day my body cant handle it.

This guy is a two stripe white belt?! Holy buckets! He’s pretty impressive! I hope he sticks with it… he seems to have a lot of ability and potential. 👍🏽

My wife and I started Jiu Jitsu because our youngest son started.
Keep up the great content Jordan; its nice seeing other families bond because of this incredible discipline.

These are very good. My dream would be a series like this of white belts so we can check out white belt mistakes across the board. Its hard to figure them out unless you really study. Not easy to remember the 1000 mistakes i make vs blue belts on the mat.

I started jiujitsu a week ago, mainly because of depression and loneliness. The gym i go to is very welcoming people are so humble and they make me feel like im part of the family. Im pretty sure that’s just the community in general as every dojo i tried is very helpful. Anyway, it keeps me away from feeling down, im constantly thinking of bad thoughts. Thanks for these videos they are very helpful man.

Would love to see you roll with Lee in 6 months to see his progression, and then 6 months after that, and then so forth. The voice over is fantastic as always. Thanks for walking us through the rolls and giving us an idea as to what you are aiming for, but also equally as valuable is explaining what your partner is doing wrong. Being able to see both sides helps with the bigger picture. Keep it up Jordan, and thanks again.

I have my black belt in karate and have done striking martial arts my entire life until I was doing some film work for a new jiu jitsu academy in town and immediately signed up to join once I finished up their project, now I’m almost a year in and can’t believe I went so long without it. You’re videos have been a tremendous help!

Started my journey in 2014 after almost 17 years incarcerated. I originally started to keep myself out of trouble and after being quickly humbled by what I called nerd assassins at the time I fell in love with the intricacies that bjj had to offer and the pure beauty of watching true practitioners flow through moves that I couldn’t even believe a body was capable of. I train 3-5 times a week still and love it today just as much if not more than I did back then. Thanks for the tutelage and the way you go about instructing. Much respect. OSS

I wrestled in middle and high school and always loved it. When my first son got old enough to start wanting to wrestle with me I couldn't handle how much I missed grappling. So I started Jiu jitsu at 38 years old! I absolutely love it, I just wish I had time to train more. Training is one of the few times during the week where I can forget about everything else and focus on one thing.

Thanks Jordan and thanks Lee - for having the guts to agree to it being filmed. This video really helped me a lot. Much appreciated.

I started jiu jitsu because i wanted to do something challenging and far out of my comfort zone. As there’s only one other activity in my life that involved super close contact with other people I thought this would be a good way to do something new. Now that I’m into it I enjoy the strategy dwelling that comes from being put in painful spots and not wanting to let that happen again.

I started jiu jitsu as part of my treatment for service related PTS. I’ve found it super beneficial but struggle at times to retain information. Stumbling across your channel has got me excited - I love the concepts you teach and find it a much more productive way to learn. Thanks for the great content!!!

Love this! Having a senior belt walk through rolls and point out what details are key is so valuable for us newbies! 👊

This is a great format for videos that I rarely see. There's loads of people putting up technique videos but what you don't get to see is all the stuff that leads up to making a technique work or not. Also - what's the point in a flashy move if it's totally low percentage and there's a million little things that need to happen to make it successful? Breaking down rolls like this helps you see these little details - when to go for something - when not to - what decisions to make and when etc... Thanks! Really appreciate it.

Nobody has better jiu jitsu videos imo. You do a great job explaining every step in a way that’s easy to digest and understand. You can bet I’m going to attempt the rolling back attack to calf slicer my next class. Thank you for the content
