You can also use bees to help grow crops faster. Having the hive and flowers across the farm from each other makes them travel over crops after pollinating the flowers. This speeds up growth.

I remember hearing about this tip a long time ago, but that was when I wasn’t playing Minecraft, so I looked up a farming tip and came to this and I always thought just having like a box of water surrounding the plants is what makes it grow faster, but WOW I did not know just one block of water helps grow plants being by 80 whole blocks. 😲

fun fact: the amount of light you get from the sky is 15 when you're outside no matter what, so there's no need to light up your farm during the night, it'll have a light level of 15 without lights. if you think i am wrong then grow crops in the night with no light and go to the f3 debug menu, see "Client Light" and it'll say (15 sky, 0 block) meaning the crops have a light level of 15 when no lighting blocks are around. i just proved you wrong from 0:31!

(Bedrock) i have vilager tending the farm, so alternating crops wouldn't work since the vilagers only thave 1 type of crop.
[The farm i have is the one where the vilager would have max item in his inventory thus making the recent harvest items laid on ground. The cart pick up the item]
