Hi Ruth, great video as usual. Maybe you want to add the following tip. You can change the m code to Sharepoint.Files -> Sharepoint.Contents. That way you don't have to filter, which can be really slow if you have millions of files on your OneDrive. By using Sharepoint.Contents you get the actuall folder structure and you can drill down to the folder you want to load.

Simple and straight to the point, not like all the other fluff and nothing happens, THANK YOU!!

Love this one. I used SharePoint List and folders a lot, but never knew it could also get data from OneDrive. Great Tips, Ruth. Thank you.

I’ve been learning a lot from your great little video’s, especially this one. Obvious to many, but if like me you had not noticed - a breath of fresh air. Keep up the good work!!!

Okay that sounds nice and all. But I have a question.

I have a Folder on onedrive where for each Employee we have an Excel file with the vacation days. When I now add a new Excel file for a new employee does this type of connection also take the new file when I refresh data in PowerBi?

Hello thanks for sharing, I have done the exercise but for example I connect to a folder that has 85 files in excel with extensions "xls, " xlsx "and" xlsm ", when I update the model in power bi, it is too long (30 Minutes to put a time) the time it takes to read the information, do you know what could be happening? Thank you, excellent explanation.

Nice! Oh that reminds me of another thing.
How to import data from Dynamics 365.
If I'm not wrong, it's still not available in my region (Asia) but would be good to have a head start. Thanks! :)

I think still it has got one issue. As long as the developer uses one drive for business and use that one as data source and he continues in the project, it is fine. If he leaves the project then how will that data source will get refreshed? Don't you think it is a practical problem unless he does the KT to the other people in the team and they modify the source file. Can you please think of this situation and let us know the possible best solutions. I always prefer to keep the files on the Network drives rather One Drive . Look forward for your response. Thank you Ruth

Unfortunately it only works with onedrive business, for the personal or family it doesn't work.
