Awesome little pocket camera, but with that limit/heat limit, even for vlogging it could get problemmatic.
I may look to get the MKIII at some point if it goes on a huge sale.

you have to use focus area 
I believe the focus area is set on wide  or multi 
change it to spot, so that you can focus only on the centre of the sight

Awesome video, as always. 5 minute 4K video limit aside, this is still the best small form factor camera on the market. At $1000, is certainly isn't aimed at the average consumer. It's aimed more at the prosumer market.

With that said, it's still the equivalent of an RX100 Mark3 on steroids. It loses no features, while gaining a few useful features. With a 5 minute limit at crispy 4K, it's more suited for B roll footage, unless you're willing to edit and stitch together several 5 minute clips. Still an amazing camera that easily blows away anything in its class.
