I don’t think I want to watch a Mandalorian show where Grogu is the main character. He can’t talk and he can barely move.

I could honestly see them recycling Durge as the main villain for the Mando & Grogu movie, like Favreau make a whole episode plot out of the Krayt Dragon, originally introduced in ANH i think, then shown live in the Kotor games. I can see him plucking some forgotten villain like Durge from the Samurai Jack style animated Clone Wars (which was actually really good); and fleshing him out, and developing that character nicely in a live action movie.

I think that having deeper connections to the show would work if they say it is a direct sequel to the show. We have had a lot of films set in TV shows that were great the best example is Mask Of the Phantasm which fully relies being set in the BTAS show and that you know these versions of Batman and Joker while still telling an incredible story

Have you forgotten that the movies have opening crawls the opening crawl can give a pretty good summary of the Mandalorian in Grogu’s backstory for the people who haven’t seen those show that show but like still it’s also the most popular characters since Disney so most people who would want to go see the movie seen it regardless.

Star Wars would be a lot better if it wasn’t being made by amateurs. Iger needs to step up his talent requirements for whoever is making TV’s and shows. This includes taking Dave off of director for his movie. Sure he’s a Star Wars fan, but he’s a no name director. Let him co direct with someone more experienced.

It’s tricky, because in the past JJ Abrahms would have seemed like someone to fit the bill, but he actually had a lot less passion and creativity than we expected.

I say stick with experienced, proven, directors who have a bit of commercial appeal and actually WANT to tell Star Wars stories.
Give us another Tony Gilroy/ Gareth Edwards movie. Give Lord and Miller another chance. Give Duffer Brothers a Star Wars movie.

Ugh, why is the least exciting Star Wars show aka Acolyte releasing basically on my birthday? Of course it can't be something cool...

And lets not forget, Liam Neeson vehemently denied being involved with new SW work before the release of the Kenobi show and then after that episode came out he was basically just like "I pulled a sneaky on ya". So it goes without saying, the actors/talent involved don't necessarily have to be truthful in these interviews they give.

Also I'm digging the updated outro screen. It's better than just the jarring white background transition for sure.

I'm a bit hyped for Skeleton Crew, but a bit of that is because I know so little about it.
About Favreau's movie, he had a plan with movies when he planned for the mandowers. He also thought that fans deserved to see Luke Han and Leia together again as the heros we knew from the OT. Is this maybe what we get now, he might have had a script ongoing after s2 before Kathleen and Filoni hijacked everything.

It sounds like they may be turning the original season 4 script into the movie. From a business point of view, this may not be a bad idea, since they will probably get a lot more money from movie tickets than they will from Disney plus subscription.
As someone who hadn’t seen TCW or Rebels before watching season 2, I wasn’t confused when Ahsoka or Bo Katan showed up. So I think they can still introduce characters and ideas from the show in small doses and use expository dialogue to let the movie audience know what’s going on. Or maybe even use the scrolling text in the beginning of the movie to explain what happened before the movie. To be honest, I am intrigued and optimistic about this movie,

Grogu stories can be set centuries in the future

That's the beauty of what they did - a permanent puppet character option

Is Grogu gonna be in Skeleton Crew? Carson Teva could hire Mando to hunt them down - then Skeleton Crew is Mando Season 3.5 just like Boba Fett was 2.5

And Ahsoka will tie back in with her Jedi sword droid to arm Grogu, while Grogu continues his Purgil Story arc

PP agreed to play Reed Richards if he can get out of playing Din. He picks up a nice payday for the movie and gets what he wants.

At this point I'm not looking forward to any of these projects except Ahsoka season 2. Mando is done, skeleton crew never had any appeal for me, and if by some miracle the Acolyte is watchable, I won't be able to say so without getting crucified by other fans. As for Star Wars gaming, the only project I think that has any chance of getting finished and releasing is Outlaws and maybe Jedi 3.
