Following up on the Shadow Vowel video, here's some insight on the difference between a shadown vowel on /ŋ/ and adding a /g/ instead.

This! The explosive thing is all i've ever wanted to hear!! Teachers on videos always do like that, problem is that it doesn't do much in normal/casual situation.

Nice explanation. I find my non-native students who don't have the ŋ speech sound in their native language, really struggle with this, especially when it involves connected speech. They always seem to default to 'n' sound and I find it very difficult to come up with appropriate direction and imagery to help them, other than showing them the rather unappealing sight of the sound being made in the back of my mouth!

Hello Mr. Jim. is there a schwa /ə/ sound before N and M after vowels and consonants too
as in tone /toʊn/ and fam, ton, son, mom. is the schwa /ə/ clear after r sound as in learn. if yes is that because the M and N syllabic. please.
