English have two types of ng sound. "long" have classic ng, but "thing" have palatalized version of ng (in slavic languages we named this sound as soft sounds). I'm already watched several, and every time, as here, natives pronounce palatalized "thing ng", and after, when they try pronounce ng in isolated form they pronounce absolutely different sound, classic ng!

And what is sad, that palatalized ng is 90% of all ng in English mainly due to -ing, that always have palatalized ng. All ng here were palatalized except isolated ng and long with extra g on the end
