Self Portrait Pencil Drawing

I started a self portrait drawing the other day. Some thoughts :

I don’t spend enough time drawing anymore. It’s always nice to take a mental break from landscapes and practice some portraiture. I want to keep working on this, but I really want a haircut. If I keep refining it as a drawing, how noticeable would it be anyway? Maybe I’ll use it as a transfer drawing, haven’t done that in ages, and I want to begin incorporating that into my process generally. Time flew by while making this, but looking at the time stamps on my phone, the first and last clip are six hours apart. I think I had dinner sometime in between, though. While working on a portrait it’s good to step away and try to catch a fresh look, or view your drawing/painting in a mirror to see what need fixing. Likeness is just moving shapes around, but that’s no excuse to not get it.
