If somebody needs 3 whole extra seats, my question is how are they getting through the door of the plane? And how are they buckling up?

I’m a plus size person and have been 95% of my life and I’ve never been so entitled to think an airline should offer me an extra seat. It’s not the companies fault that I’m fat 🤦‍♀️ This isn’t asking for inclusivity this is you asking for a privilege you’re not entitled to have.

I’m fat as hell… but I had a health scare. I realized that the life I was living was dangerous and harmful. The only person I had to blame was myself. The only reason I can’t fit in an airplane seat is because of me. If I need two seats, I should pay for the seat. My fat ass doesn’t entitle me to deprive a company of money they could make off that seat. It’s called accountability.

I used to be embarrassed to fly because I couldnt fit in one seat. It was humiliating and I always haaaated the fact if I needed to fly somewhere. I even had a family member who used to buy 2 plane tickets just to fit. But we both lost a ton of weight and we both love to fly now :)

I was 400lbs and at my age, i had to check myself and take accountability for what i did to myself. I got weight loss surgery and im on a health journey. I lost 135 lbs. And by the way its not the plus size community its the morbidly obese community. Call it what it is. They have a sense of entitlement for something they did to themselves. Beyond sad.

Plus Size Community? What community? Are they all friends? Do they get together for meetings to discuss being morbidly obese? Do they have a mayor?
People need to stop grouping people together by the single element they have in common. You’re not a community if you don’t know each other.

No disrespect toward anybody size, but I’m only 140 pounds and I’m not comfortable on a goddamn flight but we have to make accommodations for you? Why? Should I be provided an extra seat? Because I’m not comfortable? No. You get what you pay for.

As soon as they start putting me in first class because I’m tall and my knees are digging in to the seat in front of me (a problem I can’t change), I’ll worry about your extra seat for the problem you can change.

I'm only 5 feet tall, not fat and still barely fit in a plane seat. If I want "comfort" I would have to pay extra for business/first class. Your "comfort" doesn't mean more than mine! Why should you get free seating for "comfort"? Do you think I want to sit next to a wide man with broad shoulders and big arms for 12 hours? You think I want a stranger touching the length of my arm for 12 hours? You better not jam yourself into a seat next to me on a flight!! 😡😡 Buy your own extra seat!

If normal size passengers have to spend their journey squashed in their seat due to a plus size person sitting next to them then they should be provided with an extra seat or a refund. It’s only fair!
