Hey 2024 here, and this still works. I had some trouble getting into the auxiliary screen, i had to hold the "pair" button and the "eject" button at the same time while turning on the xbox, but everything else worked. Thank you for the video explanation. Very helpful

Nov/20/2024 - IT WORKED !!

I'm an average temper gamer thought i lost all hope on my Xbox one S ... Till i followed every step in this video because It WORKED FOR ME !! Not sure it was the update that deleted all my apps and games or something i did but it's no problem because most games i play are online i just gotta re download everything but i can't be mad because MY XBOX IS WORKING !

This worked on my E102 system error. Tried so many times to reset to factory and it always reverted back to the “Something went wrong” screen. It did take me two tries to get the offline update to work because the first attempt stopped halfway and gave me the same “Something went wrong” screen. I gave it an hour and tried again and it worked. It did however reset my Xbox back to factory because I have no games or apps on the Xbox but I’ll do my time and download them back. Thanks for the tutorial!

I just had to do the offline update, kept getting error e102. Took a few tried for it to work it boots up to dashboard again. Hopefully no more errors

When the update finished, you were shown the original start up menu (select language etc) does this mean the console will be reset fully by doing an offline reset?
