Broken key cylinder 2009 chevy colorado

Can't start my truck, have to wait 10 minutes in the run position before it resets

You can see that I don't have a lot of keys or heavy weight on the ignition cylinder. Truck has 94k miles on it

Is that a copied key you are using? If so it wont have the ignition chip and it wont start. I seen that your security light was flashing that's why I'm asking. If it is the factory key or one with a chip installed welcome to your Colorado... I have a 2011 and it does the same thing from time to time. You have to leave the key in the ignition for 10 min until the security light goes out. Then you can start it. I am hopping that there is going to be a recall on the Colorado from GM that will fix the issue for us buyers.
