i had an 512 GB Samsung M2 SSD (MPR style) that i have installed windows 10
I followed your steps first i validate disk, result was "validation completed successfully"
after validation I got the following message when I ran MBR2GPT;
MBR2GPT: Attempting to convert disk 0
MBR2GPT: Retrieving layout of disk
MBR2GPT: Validating layout, disk sector size is: 512 bytes
MBR2GPT: Trying to shrink the OS partition
Cannot find room for the EFI system partition.
MBR2GPT: Conversion failed
what to do to fix problem.

I just purchased a 4TB HDD and when I attempt to validate I get this message: disk layout validation failed for disk 1, I am just trying to be to use all the space on the drive and I suppose it has to be converted from MBR to GPT?
