If an officer needs training to know NOT to beat an elderly woman I'd say he needs to be let go to go learn how to be a better human first. The chief has zero excuses to not know what goes on under his watch.

He hired bully thugs and turned a blind eye for over 10 months. Its TOO late for apologizing its time to CLEAN HOUSE. The bad part about this is we have NO way of knowing how many other cases he's turned this same blind eye to them being violated to the extreme. THUGS all.

“I hurt my shoulders”....no, honey. YOU didn’t hurt your shoulders. The officers that attacked you hurt your shoulders (“listen for the pop”). It hurts my heart to hear her say that. And it breaks my heart that officer Hopp KNEW he hurt her, (he even bragged about it to the other officers that weren’t there) she told them she was hurt, and they still chose to leave her chained to a bench for 6 hours, in extreme pain with all of those injuries.

The one women said it well. It took 10 months for this chief to get a clue...either he is incompetent or he is lying. Personally I think he is a lying sack of crap. The behavior of his officers reflects his leadership.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the handful of people who showed up to the city council meeting to defend this woman🙌

"I'm sorry if she feels" .... that phrase right there ... that's NOT an apology. That is shifting blame to the victims.

Transparency only came after the lawsuit. If Ticer did not know about this, what else is going on in that department that he does not know about.

Don't let them just resign and that be it, they must be held accountable for their crime

The recorded conversation amongst the officers confirms that their supervisor knew about the incident...witnesses also called to complain. Clearly the Chief of Police knew...

Ignorance is not a defense when you are in charge, it is dereliction of duty .

That first lady speaking summed it up perfectly - this chief is either completely incompetent for not knowing about this situation for 10 months or totally complicit for doing nothing UNTIL the public got wind of this. Either way this guy should be on borrowed time and needs to go!

Not a loveland resident, but the amount of money you pay this guy you could get a lot better.

They let her sit in a holding cell with a dislocated shoulder and broken arm for six hours while they joked about “the pop.” Let that sink in.

I still didn't hear him apologize. Shameful.

"Either you DIDN'T know and you're incompetent, or you DID know and you're lying to us." Nope, if he DID know, he's CORRUPT for doing nothing.

The three arresting officers just resigned? They should be hold accountable, they deserves jail time for the abuse.

Such a predictable result when you have extremely low hiring qualifications, weak vetting procedures, and inadequate training that emphasizes meeting every situation with "escalation of force."

The police chief is only concerned about keeping his job and pension.

When I saw the video of all those cops laughing when they heard the elderly woman's bone pop, it made my blood boil.
Leaving the department isn't nearly enough punishment..
I couldn't get away with breaking any fellow human being's bones.
Where are the charges??
