Abuse of the elderly is a felony charge in it self.

People without a 'moral compass' should never be authorized to wear badges.

Even a bystander, who’s not trained, could see they were using excessive force.

This is why we need to end Qualified immunity once and for all.

This is the shit they did while they knew they were being filmed. Imagine what they do when they aren't being filmed or off duty.

We all watched them laughing at the violence they committed on an elderly woman with dementia then refusing her treatment after admitting to what they did makes them some of the worst cops out there. Around the same time this dept settled a suit for beating and charging another elderly person who was a witness for not wanting to talk to them. This chief needs to be fired.

Sad part is they weren't fired n charged for their wrongdoing. They were fired and charged for the backlash from the community and media

It took a year to get it out. The chief is the one who covered it up. Fire them all and put them in jail

The female police officer has been charged with not reporting it. What about all those who reviewed the tape and did nothing.

I work at a popular retail store, I can't say the name (but you know) and a woman with dementia approached me the other day, obviously confused, I sought out the right care, spoke with her, remained calm, didn't accuse her of a crime or stealing, got her son (who was grateful) to come to pick her up, things don't have to be this way, it's the mindset of the police in this country. It is NOT a small minority, it is the MAJORITY in control of the system itself. No one had to train me to be a human being when dealing with someone like that. If you're a good person, it should be natural. The fact the officers acted the way they did speaks to two things, either you're training MAKES you a monster because the pound in your head, "everyone you run into is a criminal" or it attracts the kind of psychopathic people who lack that natural tendency. Either way, things have to be changed, and changed on a VERY high level.

This was not excessive force. This was a vicious assault on an elderly woman.

Read the lawsuit, 2 supervisors covered up, it's not a one off.

How about the good samaritan that walked up and them how wrong they were, we need more brave people like him.

Chief of Police needs to be fired and charged as well. How many of these cases have been swept under the rug? Chief of police needs to go he knew about this and did nothing.

The burning question has to be "what made them think this was ok?" Even if she did not have dementia it was wrong.

Yes these encounters can escalate quickly. But who’s doing the escalating? Is anyone else tired of hearing how dangerous their job is ?

They weren't the only ones laughing at that video. Everyone involved should be fired. Take their pensions. These two need to be in jail.

The chief says he didn't know about this until a few days ago when the federal lawsuit was filed.
How could he not know?
The FOIA requests, the woman's defense attorney demanding discovery, the viral videos, the media asking questions?
Gross incompetence or a failed coverup, either way, he needs to go.
