The disciples would have had to have seen the risen Christ in order to be so bold since they knew that by proclaiming Christ is God “the Son” and that He rose from the dead who is the Messiah, they would have been rejected by their families, friends, the temple would’ve been off limits to them. They would’ve been hunted down, beaten, imprisoned and most brutally killed. Then they would know that they would have to face God Almighty on judgement day for what they would have known to be a lie if they just made it all up for which they would be sent straight to hell for all eternity. The disciples absolutely knew Jesus rose from the dead. No other so called naturalistic theory works or is even reasonable. Only God Almighty!

More importantly is what he said to do after his resurrection. Matthew 28 the last few Verses in this Gospel. Its the First book of the New Testament for a reason. First sermon. After his temptation of forty days and nites. From that time on he went through out the land saying repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is a hand.

The one who knows Christ in true fellowship lives for Him and does not need to fear future punishment. The person who experiences fear "has not been perfected in love." In other words, those who fear punishment don't have a complete or mature relationship with God.
