Deep in their mind, they look down counties less developed than them (nearly most of the pacific countries, at least in past few decades). They only respect counties has beaten them up badly such as US (two nukes) or capable of beating them up. But in public, they show full respect to less developed countries simply because it’s public.

I can tell you about what my girlfriend sees for her side. In her town a lot of Japanese people dislike Vietnamese people because of the crime rate has gotten higher and more criminal organizations are being station from Vietnamese and Chinese mafia, which make a lot of her neighbors have a negative view on Vietnamese immigration

The Vietnamese that are working in Japan as export labor some do crime of their own will, some have no choice but to it because of the toxic companies .

If you offered me these two countries I should live in I would definitely choose Vietnam. Vietnamese people are present here in Czechia since the 1950's because of the Agreement between both communist countries back then. I honestly like Vietnamese because they are hardworking, polite people just minding their own business. Japan reminds me kinda of Germany of Asia. Sometimes Evil sometimes extremely friendly...just my opinion

Whether accepted or not, most negative views about Vietnamese people come from a few people in the northern region. This happens because there aren't enough workers in certain building or farming companies, or businesses want to save money by hiring inexperienced employees. They don't need foreign language skills or professional qualifications. Frankly, these people take tough jobs for low pay, even when Japanese people wouldn't. In my opinion, they're like a kind of human livestock.

I've studied and worked in Vietnam's education system and it seems the quality has gone down a lot. People care more about money than education, even though the government says otherwise. Because education is getting worse and the internet is growing fast, they think keep working abroad like this isn't a big deal. Sadly, they can be tricked by our own Vietnamese or black companies.

As a Vietnamese I have a few theories why those 11 percent feel that way, 1 WW2 losing territory isn’t something people like but this is unlikely, 2 political beliefs, 3 it’s not as developed as Japan and there are some pretty sketchy areas but there are sketchy areas in Japan too, 4 they’re probably just racist.

I don't know it's accurate or not... But in result: 58% Vietnamese ppl love France instead Japan because they believe France have beautiful city Paris. Same like 86% Vietnamese ppl love USA and 87, 45% Vietnamese ppl hate PRC.
