I got accounting degree and decided to do accounting business instead of going big 4 or working at accounting department of any major companies. I am 37 and make 500k net income now and still fast growing.

I was a big 4 campus hire in 2020 at 65k, 2021 raised to 72k 2022 I was a senior and 83k then senior 2 was 89k

this is all base salary by the way, doesn’t include bonuses based on performance which can get you up to $50, 000 more if you work really well

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE! (At least in LA) got an internship at a big 4 with 37.5 hr+bonus. When you start full time you should be making 80k base + bonuses . At least in LA

That’s a dream. It doesn’t happen in real life. Employers think that anyone can be an accountant, without education. And for that reason, they pay a misery even when you have a masters degree.
